Congratulations to Freya Finnegan who secured her 2nd half-norm (and therefore invitation to the England Team trials in April) at the EPSCA Rapidplay in Liverpool. Callum Brewer also played, scoring an excellent 5/6 to come 3rd.

500th Sussex pupil attends SJC Academy event:  Brian Stockham, Uckfield Academy Director, presents Archie King (aged 9) of Harlands Primary School with a chess set.

Full report from the 6th Uckfield event soon ... but UCTC win Top School, Blackboys CEP Top Primary, and Michael Stockham is individual Champion.

27 children from 5 schools attended the 6th Burgess Hill Academy event, with Birchwood Grove yet again emerging convincingly victorious as the top school and Luke Herlihy of Oakmeeds the individual winter champion - Report and photos soon...
