Worth Tournament - 25th October 2008, Worth School, Turners Hill

The second grand prix of the season was held at Worth School. This was a qualifying tournament for the London Junior Chess Championships in December and so was a busy day in all categories.

The standard of chess, particularly in the under 12s, was very strong and several children succeeded in qualifying for the LJCC.

Many thanks to Angela Higgs of Worth School for the excellent venue. Thanks also to Clare and her team for the catering, which was excellent as usual. Also to Sue Howell and Phil James for running the tournaments.
