Eastbourne Grand Prix: 17th February 2007, Eastbourne

This weekend saw the 5th Grand Prix of the season in Eastbourne. As usual competition was fierce.

The U18 Major competition was taken by Rhys Cumming on 5.5 points, ahead of Tom Fitzgerald and Shyam Mohan on 4.5. The U18 Minor players had to compete in the same competition as the majors. Daryl Brooks took the title on 3.5 points, with Marcus Campopiano beating James Falvey on progressives to take 2nd place.

In the U11 Major, Robert Fitzgerald and Freddie Keen both finished on 5 points and could not be split on progressives. However, Robert beat Freddie in their game, meaning that Robert took first place and Freddie second. Felix Haxby took third place on 4.5.

In the Minors, Sol Knipe took the title with 5 points ahead of Charles Dabbs on 4.5. Three players finished on 4 points. Ollie Wilson just lost out on progressives, but took the prize for the top U9 player. However Tom Owen and Jared North could not be separated, and shared 3rd place.

The Top U10 Prize went to Hannah Watkinson on 3 points in the Minors, Cosima Keen gained 3.5 in the Majors to take top U8, and Rohan Shiatis took the U7 prize on 3.5 in the Minors.
