Crowborough Grand Prix: 16th September 2006In the U18 Major, a tough competition saw the title fought out between a number of players. In the final round, an extraordinary game between William Jones and Rhys Cumming ended in a draw when, after 50 minutes of play, no pieces had been removed from the board. William Jones took the U18 title on 5 points ahead of Adam Squibb, Rhys Cumming and Ben Silverstein, all on 4.5 ponts. Adam Squibb took the Crowborough cup for the highest placed Crowborough player. In the U18 Minors, Sean Lintott White took the title ahead of Tyler North, Andy Squibbs and James Falvey. In the U11 Major, Barnaby Paul took the title ahead of George Galliano and Jonathan Burch. Sol Knipe, Otto Pyper and Daniel Sutton all finished on equal point in the U11 Minor, with Sol and Otto sharing first place on progressives and Daniel taking 3rd place.
