SCCU Under 14 Under 90 Jamboree, Saturday 3rd June 2006

Sussex shared 2nd place in a close run contest to West Surrey. We were only half a point behind after the first round, unfortunately we weren’t able to close the gap in the 2nd round.. The quality of chess was very good and the Sussex players played well –considered chess with the longer time control. There was an excellent team spirit and the players were given great encouragement by the parents. James Arnold scored a maximum 2 points in a welcome return, Amy Hoare and Iona Rose did very well on boards 11 and 12.
