England Trials - 1st - 2nd April 2006, Liverpool

Polly Lambert and Jude Lenier succeeded in gaining automatic places in the England Squad at the trials in Liverpool by scoring the mandatory 4 out of 5 points.

Joe Quinn lost in the last round to end up on 3.5 out of 6 for the second year running. Matthew Payne also finished on 3.5 and Charlie Mills on 3, both also losing their last round match. Chris Yates also finished on 3 points. After a short but anxious wait, Joe and Matthew received the news that they had also been offered places in the squad, since insufficient players had gained the necessary 4 points. This was excellent news, since last year no players on 3.5 gained entry to the squad.
