Crowborough Grand Prix: 10th September 2005

The Under18 Major prize was shared by Adam Prescott and James Foster on 5.5 points each, with the Crowborough Cup won by Adam.George Salimbeni took 3rd place with 4 points.

In the Under 11 Major Matthew Payne scored 5.5 to take the trophy, with Shyam Mohan in 2nd place on 4, and 7 year old Robert Fitzgerald in 3rd on 3.5.

In the Under 18 Minor, Caroline Foster enjoyed her first Sussex tournament with a maximum 6 out of 6, with Ben Silverstein, Carl Addy and Thomas Fitzgerald all on 4

Crowborough’s Benji Pearson also scored a maximum in the Under 11 minor, with George Bacon in 2nd on 4.5. Sean Lintott-White finished 3rd on 4 points, just ahead of Elliot Oram on Progressives.

The SJC committee heard that entry forms for Crowborough did not go out to all members of SJC so it has been decided to reduce the number of required Grand Prix events to 5 to qualify for a medal.
