Sussex U7 Final 2005

A great turnout of 38 turned out for the under 7’s championship that saw some great chess being played.

Robert Fitzgerald of Lindfield confirmed his place as champion with a great 5 out of 5 points. Charlie Keen of Great Walstead pushed him all the way before losing to Robert in the last round to take joint 3rd place with Otto Pyper of Windlesham and Joshua Ralph of Balfour. Tom Haxby of Brighton Montessori came 2nd with 4.5 points.

Great Walstead just ousted Balfour for the Schools title by half a point, in a very exciting Schools competition, with Forest Row, showing great promise, coming third.
