EPSCA U9 Championships 2003-2004

U9 Zonal (13 March 2004)

Joseph Quinn captained the U9 team in the zonal this weekend, and the team came 4th, coming just 1 point behind Hertfordshire who took third place (1st and 2nd to Wey Valley and Richmond).  This secures them a place in the U9 final.

U9 Four Counties Friendly (11 Jan 2004)

In a tightly fought contest, Sussex came second in the contest, losing by a whisker to Buckinghamshire  Sussex coach Gary was very pleased with the performance, especially
considering nearly half the team (7 out of 15) were under eights.  Board 2 debutante Christopher Yates and top u8 had a very tough draw and was unlucky.  Tristan scored a perfect 3 and Ben, Barnaby and Edward were unbeaten.  75% of the main team scored 1.5 points or more, and including the reserve team 12 out of 15 scored more than 50%.
