ECGCF U14 Zonals, Coulsdon (21 Sept 2002)
With Kent and Essex not entering a team it was left to our six girls to challenge Middlesex, last years minor counties champions and Surrey the ECGCF champions for a place in next June's finals. In what was always going to be tough task all the team played some excellent chess just narrowly losing to Middlesex 4-5 but Surrey proved too strong for us with only Elizabeth Tehrani taking a draw from the champions.
