Wrongly puts the rook in front of the pawn, blocking it's road to becoming a new queen on a8. |

Correctly puts the rook behind the pawn. |

a4-a5 |
Although passed pawns must be pushed, this is too soon. After Rb3-a3! white is forced to defend the pawn from the side (d4) or in front (a8). |

Kg2-f1 |
It is good to get the king involved, but again this allows Rb3-a3! |
